Emily Halling
MULTIMEDIA JOURNALIST
Emily joined the FOX 21 news team in March 2024. As a Duluth native with a strong connection to the Twin Ports, she’s excited to further engage with the community as a reporter. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth in Spring 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in writing studies (Go Bulldogs!).
It was during her college years that Emily discovered her passion for journalism. She enjoys crafting impactful stories and shedding light on important topics through storytelling.
In her free time, Emily can be found hiking Duluth’s trails while birdwatching, strolling along the lake walk, or spending time with her leopard gecko, Clyde. She’s also a fan of local music gigs, baseball, and basketball, cheering for the Twins and Timberwolves. As a theater enthusiast, she attends as many productions as she can.
Emily also uses her writing and journalistic skills as a Public Affairs Staff Division Officer for the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
