Public Beach in Cloquet Opens for the Season
CLOQUET, Minn. —
Just in time for summer vacation, the Pinehurst Beach in Cloquet is now open to the public.
The chlorine pool with the sandy bottom is a unique place for those seeking to cool down in the summer heat.
They are open each day of the week, weather permitting.
When Fox 21 arrived at the park, the beach hadn’t quite opened yet, but there were still kids waiting patiently to be the first inside the gates.
They introduced themselves as the “Three Amigos.”
“I just like coming here with friends,” said Marco Mayorga, 13. “You meet up with friends here, have a little fun. Maybe play a few games in here.”
Mayorga also said he liked being there before there were a lot of little kids at the pool.
The Pinehurst Beach opens at noon each day and costs $3.50 per person to get in.
Seasonal passes are available too.
