Registration Opens for 17th Annual Lincoln Park Walleye Open

DULUTH, Minn. – Registration is now open for the 17th Annual Lincoln Park District Walleye Open.

Over $20,000 in prizes and hundreds of raffle items will be up for grabs, and organizers are hoping for a record turnout. 2016 brought in over 400 participants.

Participants will be able to cast their lines anywhere on the St. Louis River beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 17. Each angler may weigh in one walleye at the weigh station on Rice’s Point Landing off Garfield Avenue. Weigh-ins will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. – those in line at 5 p.m. will still have the opportunity to weigh-in.

Prizes will be given out based on weight; the 40th largest fish wins the top prize of $1,000.

Entry fee is $50 and anglers can register at the following locations: Marine General, Bedrock Bar, Bergey’s Bar, Tappa Keg Inn, and the Bait Box in Superior.

A post-tournament party will be held at the Bedrock Bar at 2023 W. Superior Street with free food and raffles!
