Observation Hill Dog Park Keeping Busy With Nice Weather
Keene Creek and Jean Duluth Parks are closed for at least another week at least because the ground is too soggy
DULUTH, Minn. – This nice weather is bringing people out the dog park on Observation Hill. In Duluth, it’s the only dog park open right now. Keene Creek and Jean Duluth Parks are closed for at least another week at least because the ground is too soggy.
But, it’s all good at Observation Park. The sandy surface is perfect for the paws to run off all that built up energy from the winter.
“They’ve been sitting around all winter long,” said Bill Forseth, who brought his dog out on Tuesday. “I try to get them out to the dog park as much as I can.”
“She’s got so much energy,” said Jan Anderson, about her 17 week old puppy. “She goes on a two mile walk every day and she’s still crazy. She terrorizes our older dogs, so it’s like she needs more exercise, so this has been great because she’s running around and playing with the other dogs.”
The Observation Dog Park is open every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
