Minnesota Republican leaders hope to help middle-class citizens
Minnesota House Majority Leader Joyce Peppin traveled the state to discuss priorities for the upcoming legislative session.
House Republicans hope to focus on middle-class Minnesotans including tax relief and fixing roads and bridges here in Duluth.
“Last session put forward a proposal that would bring $7 billion into road and bridge funding in the next ten years so it is a very comprehensive plan,” said Peppin.
The plan will happen over the next ten years and people of the Northland can expect to see lots of changes on the road.
“It would total about 15,500 lane miles and over 330 bridges in the state of Minnesota,” said Peppin.
The 2016 Legislative Session is set to begin on March 8.
