UMD Men’s Basketball Claims 3rd NSIC Tournament Title By Taking Down SCSU

The Bulldogs last won the NSIC tournament championship in 2003.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- After missing out on the national tournament in the 2024-2025 season, the UMD men’s basketball team is heading back to the big dance.

On Tuesday, the Bulldogs claimed their 3rd NSIC tournament title in program history after defeating St. Cloud State, 76 to 65.

UMD was led by Caleb Siwek, who had 34 points in the victory.

The Bulldogs last won the NSIC tournament championship in 2003.

UMD will learn who they face in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Sunday.
