Ely Girls Basketball Set to Face Top-Seeded MIB in Program’s First Section 7A Title Game

The section 7A championship game on Thursday, March 5th, at Hermantown High School. 

HERMANTOWN, Minn.- The section 7A girls basketball semifinal rounds tipped off on Tuesday night.

The top-seeded Mountain Iron-Buhl squared off against Cromwell-Wright in a rematch of last year’s title game.

The Rangers knocked out the defending section champions, taking down the Cardinals 71-29 to advance to the section title game.

On the other side of the bracket, Ely went toe to toe with Chisholm for the final spot in the section championship game.

The Timberwolves are heading to their first-ever Section 7A title game after taking down the Bluestreaks 47-41.

The section 7A championship game is on Thursday, March 5th, at Hermantown High School.

Game time is at 6 p.m.
