2nd Annual Music on the Ship Returns
DULUTH, Minn. – The William A. Irvin is set to host a free concert series for the second time.
This August, a free, family-friendly concert series will be held every Thursday evening on the historic freighter’s spar deck, offering unbeatable views of the Aerial Lift Bridge and Lake Superior. People are welcome to arrive early, as the shows have a maximum capacity of 140 people per performance.
“We’re going to be having music on the ship right here on the William A Irvine, our historic freighter. And it’s really hard to think of a more picturesque place to be. We have rock, we’re going to have Americana, some bluesy jazz, and also a Bob Dylan tribute band,” said Lucie Amundsen, communication director at the DECC.
The boat has plenty of seating on the latch covers; however, everyone is welcome to bring their chairs and enjoy the live music.
