Two Northland Chefs Compete for Colossal’s Favorite Chef

NORTHLAND — Two Chefs from the Northland are competing against dozens of other chefs in their groups for a chance to win $25,000 and to be considered ‘Taste of Home’ magazine’s Colossal’s favorite chef with a chance to cook alongside Chef Carla Hall.

Mama T’s Smokin’ Eats and Johnny B’s Food Truck are both competing to bring home the bacon in the People’s Choice category. Currently, both Mama T’s and Johnny B’s are steadily holding second place in their respective groups.

Voting for the top 20 chefs in each category ends on April 10th at 9 p.m. CST.

Mama T’s said if she wins, the $25,000 will help with replacing her cooler after her cooler wall started to collapse earlier this year.

Johnny B’s said he is looking to purchase a bigger food truck, one that isn’t towed by his pick-up truck.

The competition will continue to narrow down the contenders until final awards are announced on July 3.
