Boys Soccer: Cloquet-Esko-Carlton & Hermantown Earn Spots in Section 7AA Title Game

The Lumberjacks will host the Hawks on October 15th with the winner advancing to state.

CLOQUET, Minn.- For the 4th straight season, the Cloquet-Esko-Carlton boys soccer team will get a chance at capturing the Section 7AA title.

On Thursday, C-E-C defeated Duluth Denfeld 2-1 in the semifinals.

The Lumberjacks were led by Jordan Sewell, who had both goals in the contest.

C-E-C will next face Hermantown, who defeated Grand Rapids 2-0 in the other semifinal on Thursday.

Hunter Nelson and Owen Landrigan were the goal-scorers for the Hawks.

The section title game is set for October 15th in Cloquet at 7 PM.

In other boys soccer action, Duluth Marshall secured a spot in the Section 7A title game after defeating PACT 1-0.

The Hilltoppers will meet Legacy Christian Academy for a trip to state on October 15th.

Meanwhile, Duluth East sees their season end as they fall to Andover in the 7AAA semifinals, 2-0.
