One Dead in Highway 169 Crash
One person was killed after a crash on Highway 169 on Sunday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Chevy Astro van was traveling southbound on Highway 169 near Tower, when it collided with a Buick Lesabre that was turning from a parking lot to travel northbound on 169.
The passenger in the Lesabre, 82-year-old Elaine Tuominen, was killed.
Her husband, 82-year-old Carl Tuominen, was taken to Essentia Health-Virginia and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Chevy Astro, 82-year-old Carol Mitchell, was also taken to Essentia Health-Virginia with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
