Esko Baseball Downs Marshall Twice for Section Title

Second-straight Section 7AA Championship

DULUTH, Minn.- The Esko baseball team will have a chance to defend their Class AA State Title after defeating Duluth Marshall twice on Thursday to capture the Class 7AA Championship.

Esko won game one 10-3, allowing on two hits for the Hilltoppers. In game two, Marshall scored a run in the top of the first, but Esko responded with a Bryce Hipp two-run home run in the bottom of the second. Esko would go on to win 4-2.

This marks the second year in a row Esko has won the Section 7AA title. The Class AA State Tournament begins on Thursday, June 13 at Dick Putz Field.
