Downtown Duluth Welcomes in the Holiday Season
Red curtains to be installed Monday, November 14
Red curtains will be installed in the storefronts of 28 businesses throughout Duluth’s Downtown Waterfront on Monday, November 14.
It’s all part of the 11th annual storefront window display and lighting contest presented by the Greater Downtown Council.
“Bentleyville is huge. Decorating for the holidays is a big part of that. This is the time when our smaller retailers are hitting their busiest time of year,” says Darlene Marshall of the Greater Downtown Council
Businesses will have the red curtains hanging in their windows throughout the week in order to hide the assembly work going on behind the scenes.
Windows will be unveiled on Friday, November 18 prior to the Christmas City of the North Parade.
Downtown residents employees and visitors are all encouraged to vote for their favorite holiday window display and become eligible to win one of the many downtown gifts offered by merchants.
