Duluth Salvation Army Hosting New Fundraising Dinner Starting This Year

DULUTH, Minn. — The Duluth Salvation Army is shaking things up in their approach to fundraising in 2024.

Starting this year, they will be hosting a new event called the Black and White Ball in May. This fundraiser will replace the Civic Luncheon which they held in November. Tickets are priced at 100 dollars and guests will be dressed to the nines for an elegant dinner along with a live DJ, dancing, a silent auction, and a wine pull.

“I wanted to have an event that was just kind of more fun, a fun night out kind of a thing versus a presentation for a lunch. I thought it might be like a great date night, cause you kinda gotta dress up, or like a ladies night or something. Just something different. We would love to interact with new potential sponsors as well at this event,” said director of development Cyndi Lewis.

The Black and White Ball will take place May 16th during Salvation Army week which is the week following Mother’s Day. They are still looking for more sponsors for businesses that would like to participate.
