Boy Scouts Donate Popcorn to National Guard

DULUTH, Minn.– Local Boy Scouts gave back to the Duluth National Guard today.

The donation was in the form of fresh popcorn, $2,000 worth to be exact. The Boy Scouts sell popcorn every year as their fundraiser but customers had the option to place an extra order for military members.

Those extra orders paid off.

“Giving back is part of the scouting way through community service and this is just one way we can say thank you to our service personnel in the area and across the country,” said Clark Garthwait, District Director of Voyagers Area Council Boy Scouts.

The Boy Scouts will also be donating popcorn to service members in Superior and Hibbing.
