Hibbing/Chisholm Boys Hockey Set for 2nd Straight State Tournament

The Bluejackets are looking for their first state title win since 1973.

HIBBING, Minn.- The wait is nearly over for the Hibbing/Chisholm boys hockey team to make their second straight state tournament appearance.

The top seeded Bluejackets will lead things off on Wednesday as they’ll face the 8th seed Dodge County in the quarterfinals at 11 AM.

Hibbing/Chisholm didn’t meet up with the Wildcats in the regular season but they did win games against six of the 16 state teams.

When preparing for the tournament, Head Coach Aaron Jamnick knows it’s the time of the year where you can’t look past anyone.

“Yeah, it’s kind of everyone’s record is kind of whatever, it starts over. Shift by shift mentality and we just have to get after it,” said Jamnick.

“We just have to play like we have been all year. Don’t waver from how we’re playing, play the right way, do the little things and it’ll come,” added forward Isaiah Hildenbrand.
