Friday Evening Northland Forecast: 10/10/2025
A Super Saturday on the Way!
Do you remember last Saturday? We had a high of 84 degrees! That was, of course, a record for the date. Then, on Sunday, it was cooler, cloudy, windy and rainy. This weekend will be an almost exact repeat of last weekend, except for the fact that we will be nowhere near 84 degrees tomorrow. The average high for tomorrow is in the mid 50’s, and we will hit about 60 degrees for a high. But, it will be sunny all day, just like Saturday. And, like last Sunday, this Sunday will also be cloudy and windy, with a 50% chance for rain. We would love to see that, as we are 8″ down on rain for the year. Yikes! It’s no wonder we still have wildfire concerns in the Northland. That’s a huge moisture deficit! Then, next week, it will be mostly sunny, with highs in the 50’s and lows around 40. Right about where we want to be.
People are already asking my 2 very direct questions: What will the weather be like on Halloween? And, how much snow will we get this winter? Man…Halloween is still 21 days away, and the winter snowfall question? Most meteorologists run the other way when that gets asked. Halloween is 3 weeks from tonight. With that in mind, and the fact that weather has a tendency to go in 7-day cycles at this latitude, I will say Halloween will be dry, with temps in the 40s most of the day. I don’t see any reason to predict any heat wave, cold snap, or major snowfall. So, we’ll go with that…for now. For winter snowfall….we had a record high snowfall about 3 years ago, followed by 2 pretty wimpy seasons of snowfall. The average snowfall for the winter is around 85 inches. So, let’s say that this year we will move back toward average, and we’ll at least be in the 70″ range. That would still be below average, but a lot closer to it, than we’ve been in 3 or 4 winters. My other answer would be….ask me in May of 2026!
Have a great weekend!
