Two Men Drive Down ATV Trail to Flee Police During Traffic Stop
CLOQUET, Minn. — A Carlton County Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Avalanche on Reservation Road in Cloquet for speeding and active warrants.
The driver of the vehicle refused to stop and traveled onto an ATV trail where the vehicle stopped.
Two male occupants fled into the woods.
Carlton County Deputies along with Officers from the Cloquet and Fond Du Lac Police Departments conducted a search of the area.
They located and arrested the 28-year-old and 34-year-old males.
Both were taken to Community Memorial Hospital to be medically cleared prior to being booked into the Carlton County Jail.
No injuries were reported.
The 28-year-old is being held on probable cause Driving While Impaired and Fleeing a Police Officer By Other Means.
The 34-year-old is being held on probable cause Fleeing a Peace Officer in a Motor Vehicle, Fleeing a Police Officer by Other Means, and Speeding.
