2025 AMSOIL Championship Snocross Begins

DULUTH, Minn.– Engines are revving at Spirit Mountain this weekend, as the highly anticipated Amsoil Snocross Tournament began today.

Spirit Mountain has welcomed snowmobile racers from around the globe for three decades now.

But this year, instead of having the race in November, they’re ending the biggest snocross event in the world this weekend.

Nearly 700 racers of all ages will be hitting the slopes, where the winners will be crowned.

For the people competing, they had to work very hard to secure a spot in this event.

“What’s special and different about Duluth here is what we call a showdown today. So, there’s different regional circuits throughout the United States, east coast, Michigan, Wisconsin Etc. And if you finish top 7 in points you get invited to this race. So, it’s kind of like crowning of champions and stuff like that,” explained Carl Schubitzke, President AMSOIL Snocross Championship.

Stay tuned for Sunday night when we go more in depth about how the 2025 Snocross Championship pans out.
