DULUTH, Minn. — A delicious Pride Month tradition is back in Duluth for June! Positively 3rd Street Bakery is once again selling Lavender Cookies for a cause.

For the third year in a row, Positively 3rd Street is offering a limited-time sugar cookie with ground lavender, blueberry, and craisins. All the money raised from the Lavender Cookie sales will go to Trans Northland, an organization close to the owners’ hearts.

“It means a lot, even having people come in and just being a safe space here,” said co-owner Ryn Elliott. “And then being outspoken and showing our support, we had a Protect Trans Kids sign in the window for a long time and we had stickers for it too. We’re just a small little bakery but I think it means a lot having places be outspoken about that.”

Co-owner Ryn Elliott says the cookies are a hit. People ask about them year-round. Last year, they raised $500 for Trans Northland. Less than a week into June, they’re already quarter of the way to that goal, but Positively 3rd Street would love to double that total this year.

The cookies are available exclusively at the bakery at 1202 East 3rd Street, but you can also donate to Trans Northland directly. Trans Northland is also hosting their 3rd Annual Trans Joy Festival this Sunday at Park Point.
