ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesota health officials reported 194,570 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state Wednesday morning and 56 new deaths bringing the death total to 2,754 in Minnesota.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health website, 3,179,872 tests have been completed to date.

There are 157,164 patients who no longer require isolation.

So far, 12,151 patients have required hospitalization and 3,032 cases have been hospitalized in ICU.

Itasca: 1,164 – 18 deaths
Koochiching: 229 – 5 deaths
Lake: 192
St. Louis: 4,717 – 77 deaths
Ashland: 429 – 5 deaths
Bayfield: 431 – 3 deaths
Douglas: 1,097 – 1 death
Iron: 274 – 5 deaths
Sawyer: 530 – 4 deaths
Gogebic: 421 – 7 deaths

As of Wednesday morning, Wisconsin health officials reported 278,843 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state.

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services also reported 2,395 deaths.

Health officials say the real number of Minnesotans infected with the coronavirus is likely much higher because most people did not originally qualify for testing, and studies suggest that people can be infected without feeling sick.
