Sidewalk Days Festival Kicks Off Wednesday
Festival runs from July 12-14

DULUTH, Minn. – Duluth’s Sidewalk Days Festival is set to kick off on Wednesday, July 12 and run through July 14.
Vendors will hit the bricks of West Superior Street from Lake Avenue to 5th Avenue West to offer up some mouth-watering food, shopping, and entertainment for the whole family.
Events for the festival include:
- Sidewalk Shuffle 5K – 12 p.m. Wed. July 12
- Kolar Chevrolet Buick GMC Classic Car Show – 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., Wed. July 12
- First Street Dance hosted by Ace’s On First – 8 p.m., Friday, July 14
- Superior Street Dance by Dubh Linn Brew Pub – 8 p.m., Saturday July 15
Traffic Advisories:
- Superior Street and Lake Avenue to 5th Avenue West will be closed to ALL vehicle traffic Wednesday July 12 through July 14 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. No Parking restrictions begin at 7 a.m. During Sidewalk Days, the avenues will remain open to traffic with the following exceptions:
- Wednesday, July 12 from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., closure and no parking will expand to 5th Avenue W to 3rd Avenue E to facilitate the Kolar Classic Car Show – access to Michigan Street will be open on 5th Ave W and 3rd Ave E
- Friday, July 14 from 6 p.m. to midnight, the 100 block of West Superior between 1st Ave W and 2nd Ave W will be barricaded and closed to traffic. No parking will begin at 5 p.m. for the Aces Street Dance
- Saturday, July 15 from 4 p.m. to midnight, the 100 block of W Superior St between 1st Ave W and 2nd Ave W will be barricaded and no parking begins at 4 p.m.
- DTA:
- Eastbound buses: Buses will turn down 5th Ave W and continue East on Michigan Street to the Duluth Transportation Center. From DTC, buses will continue on Michigan St and turn up 1st Ave E to Superior St during Sidewalk Sales and turn up 3rd Ave East during Wednesday’s Car Show (starting at 3:30 p.m.)
- Westbound buses: During the Sidewalk Days event, buses heading west along E Superior St will turn up 1st Ave E to 1st Street – during the Car Show, buses will use 1st St from 3rd Ave E. All buses will continue West on 1st Street to 4th Ave W then to Michigan to DTC. From DTC westbound buses will continue on Michigan Street to 1st Avenue West, right on 1st Ave West to the Freeway Frontage Road, to 5th Avenue West, to West Superior Street and will continue on regular route to points farther west.
- Friday night’s street dance WILL NOT affect bus routes.
- Saturday night’s dance: Beginning at 5:00 p.m., eastbound buses will use regular route to the Duluth Transportation Center. From DTC buses will use Michigan Street, to 1st Avenue West to Superior Street and regular route. Westbound Buses from East Superior Street buses will take 1st Ave West up to 1st Street, to 2nd Ave West, to Superior Street, to 3rd Avenue West, to Michigan Street to the Duluth Transportation Center and regular route.
