Twin Ports Mayors are Starring in a Play
The Two Will Be in the Play "Love Letters"
SUPERIOR, Wis.- Mayor Emily Larson of Duluth and Mayor Jim Paine of Superior are working together to put on a play, just for one night.
The play “Love Letters,” by AR Gurney, follows two life-long friends and how they communicate with each other throughout their lives. The play is being put on as a fundraiser for the Downtown Superior Arts Center and Twin Ports Stage.
“I have enjoyed being on stage for my entire life and as I’m sure mayor Larson would agree you just don’t have time to commit to a performance while serving as a Mayor, and so a reader’s theater for one night only was the opportunity I needed to get back on stage and so mostly I’m thrilled to do theater again,” said Jim Paine, Mayor of the City of Superior.
