Duluth Making Sidewalks More ADA Compliant
Meeting Held for Community Members to Offer Input on Sidewalk Plan
DULUTH, Minn. – The City of Duluth is making their sidewalks more ADA compliant.
The first of four public meetings was held for the city to gather input from community members on how to best improve sidewalks for people with disabilities.
“The sidewalks are public and everyone uses them an it’s important to have safe, convenient access to the businesses, different government facilities, and just for the general public to be able to get out and walk,” says Cindy Voigt, a Duluth city engineer.
Residents can attend one of the other meetings or fill out an online survey to make their voices heard about the sidewalk plan.
