Salvation Army Fundraiser
40 Days Of Lint And Donations
Duluth, Minn
The Salvation Army in Duluth hopes a new fund raiser will stock their food shelf by the end of lent. Happening now the “lent challenge” encourages people to put an item in a box or trash bag each day.
The items can consist of food, clothing or anything they can sell in the Salvation Army store.
When the 40 days of lent is over you donate what you have saved up to help fill the food pantry that thousands of people depend on each year.
“We have so many people that depend on us each year to help balance their food budget by having our food shelf being available,” Says Corp Officer Bill Cox.
They also would like the public to know that a private donor has pledged to match any amount raised up to two thousand dollars.
You can donate directly at the Salvation Army in west Duluth or go online and donate on their Facebook page.
