Preparations for Lion’s Club Pancake Day Underway

Money raised goes back to community through mission work

Organizers are preparing for the 54th Annual Duluth Lion’s Club Pancake Day.

Proceeds from the annual event fund programs for youth and people with disabilities.

In a typical pancake day you can expect more than 2,000 pounds of pancake flour, 300 pounds of butter and 50 cases of syrup.

The money raised goes to the Lion’s Club which is then given back to the community through their mission work.

This year, the event will also be serving up a tasty new side dish.

“New this year, we have bacon available to buy,” said Mike Mazzio. “It’s our first year we will be offering bacon.”

Pancake day is May 5 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the DECC in Pioneer Hall.

Parking is free in the DECC ramp or lot compliments of the Duluth Lion’s Club.
