The Nutcracker Opens

The Duluth Entertainment Convention Center welcomes The Minnesota Ballet’s performance of the Christmas Classic The Nutcracker. 

This year marks a special 50th anniversary for the company. And it’s not only the community who is taking notice of the milestone. The Minnesota Ballet also received attention from the state capitol. The Governor did a proclamation in honor of the 50th anniversary of the company.  

The Nutcracker has been on tour but has a real appreciation for performing at home in Duluth. Dancer Nicholas Wourms has been a part of the company for years and made commented on the Duluth Community’s support.”They have their favorite roles to see, some of us are their favorite dancers. The Community support for not only The Nutcracker but the Minnesota Ballet is tremendous.” The Nutcracker opens tonight and has a three day run this weekend.
