A day at the arcade where every game is free – it sounds like the perfect day if you’re a kid.

For the students in Duluth who take time from their mornings to patrol the crosswalks around their school, that’s the reward for a year of hard work.

The Duluth Police Department, with the help of generous donations, opened Adventure Zone to their patrol students Friday morning.

The kids got to play all the games they wanted; all as a reward for a job well done.

“There’s still quite a few walkers – kids who walk to school in the morning,” explained Officer Bill Stovern, the School Patrol Director. “They need assistance crossing the streets, and that’s what these kids do.”

The most popular game by far for these kids was laser tag.
